Thanks for posting this Matt. The staff at Voice of the Martyrs were praying for this situation in devotions yesterday.

It is crazy that the order has been released for Islamic militants to go out and kill Christians. We have heard that Christians will be targeted not only in their churches but also in their workplaces and homes.

I'm praying that God will continue to grow his church in Iraq despite this targeted persecution, and that Christians will keep their eyes fixed on Jesus who endured such opposition from sinful men so that they will not grow weary or lose heart.

Hi Brad, I'm praying with you. The way the church in the Middle East has been treated over the past century makes me cry "Come Lord Jesus".

I saw this on TV - amazing to finally see something like this aired!

Probably sounds glib coming from comfortable me, but shedding blood spells doom for the murderers and their culture. Jesus does come - in judgment. But it's not the end. It's the beginning. We're still in the early church, Matt.

The ABC did a quick turn around. This morning they ran a story about three denominations fighting over the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem.
