Hebel (Hebrew: heh'-bel, hab-ale'; English: havel). Often used as an adverb, emptiness or vanity, figuratively something transitory and unsatisfactory. Mist, vapour.

Matthew Moffitt

Matthew Moffitt
This blog started life as the outlet of a youg, tired, Christian guy with all the wisdom that comes with being 21. I'm now in my mid 30s, and I can now relate to how the older Augustine felt about The Confessions – I'm more circumspect now about the profundity of this project. But you're welcome to my musings about life, the Bible, theology, ethics, history, philosophy, politics, and formation as I pursue Christ's Lordship over every aspect of me life. I married to Alison and we live in Sydney.

A graduate of Sydney University and Moore Theological College, I'm ministering alongside research postgrads, academics, and university staff. We're part of God's people at Christ Church Inner West, seeking to abound more and more in faith, love, and hope. Views reflected on this blog are my own, and do not represent my employer or anyone else.
